The DYNAMAT 2025 conference (Dynamic Characterization of Materials and Optimization under Extreme Conditions) took place from July 2nd to 4th, 2025, at the Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain. The event focused on exploring innovative approaches to study the behavior of materials under extreme conditions, highlighting the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in experimentation, modeling, and simulation. Bringing together international experts, the forum promoted discussions on the optimization of materials and structures subjected to high strain rates, impacts, and thermal variations, establishing itself as an essential meeting point for advancements in materials engineering and computational mechanics.
The University of Aveiro participated in the conference to present its research work to an international academic audience with the poster: "Dynamic Compressive Behavior of Cork Agglomerates Combined with Shear Thickening Fluids: Experimental and Computational Approaches." This work was developed within the scope of WP 2 – Cork Composites for Cladding of the ILLIANCE Agenda.
