The 19th Conference of the European Ceramic Society (ECerS 2025) took place from August 31 to September 4, 2025, at the International Congress Center in Dresden, Germany. Organized by the European Ceramic Society (ECerS) in collaboration with the German Ceramic Society (DKG) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (IKTS), the event brought together over 1,400 participants from 47 countries. The conference, which also celebrated the 100th anniversary of the DKG, was structured into 15 symposia addressing cutting-edge topics such as sustainability, energy transition, functional ceramics, bioceramics, and closed-loop technologies. It thus established itself as a global platform of excellence for sharing pioneering research and industrial innovation in the field of ceramic science and technology.
During the conference, the University of Aveiro delivered a presentation titled “Evaluation of the performance of sintered endogenous waste applied to porcelain stoneware pastes printed by additive manufacturing,” within the scope of WP 4 – High-Thickness Ceramic Floorings of the ILLIANCE Agenda.
