The University of Aveiro attended the International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction Research and Applications (CHIRA) with the aim of bringing together professionals, academics and students interested in advancing research and practical applications in their area of interest, covering different aspects of Human-Computer Interaction, including Human Factors and Information Systems, Interactive Devices, Interaction Design and Adaptive and Intelligent Systems. Ana Patrícia Rocha IEETA, DETI, University of Aveiro gave an oral presentation of the work entitled "User Identification Based on a Photoplethysmography Sensor for Biometrics in Smart Environments", with the authors Ana Patrícia Rocha, Nuno Almeida, Ana Luísa Silva, Pedro Correia, Cátia Leitão, Hugo Senra, Florinda Costa, and António Teixeira, as part of the activities of WP 4 - Proj. #20 "OLI Health". The oral presentation took place in a special session organised by two members of the project (Nuno Almeida and Ana Patrícia Rocha). The work presented consisted of results obtained on identifying people using a photoplethysmography sensor, and was related to tasks T4.3 and T4.9 of the project.
The conference was held in Porto between 21 and 22 November 2024.
