The 37th European Conference on Laser Interaction with Matter (ECLIM 2024), was held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 16-20th of September 2024, at the IST Congress Centre, Instituto Superior Técnico, Alameda Campus, Lisbon. ECLIM is a biennial conference hosted in Europe representing, since its first edition in 1966, a historic meeting for scientists working on the physics of laser-matter interaction with emphasis on laser fusion, laser-produced plasmas, particle generation and acceleration, laser-driven X-ray and EUV sources. The Conference is aimed to stimulate the development of research in the broad field of laser-matter interactions using high-power lasers, offering the opportunity to present and discuss new results and projects in a rather informal atmosphere.

Rodrigo Santos and Pedro Santos, both from the University of Aveiro, respectively presented the poster "Laser technology for selective paint's removal on polymeric parts" by the authors: R. Santos, P. Santos, A.J.S Fernandes, L. Rodriges, F.M. Costa, A. Lopes da Silva, A. Barros, N.M. Ferreira, and the poster "Laser irradiation for removal of a metallised coating on polymeric parts, with high shape definition" by the authors P. Santos, R. Santos, A.J.S Fernandes1, L. Rodrigues, F.M. Costa, A. Lopes da Silva, A. Barros and N.M. Ferreira, both on the results of surface treatment on polymeric parts. Santos, R. Santos, A.J.S Fernandes1, L. Rodrigues, F.M. Costa, A. Lopes da Silva, A. Barros and N.M. Ferreira, both on the results of laser surface treatment on polymeric parts, as part of the ILLIANCE - Sensing Home project, namely the effect of laser processing parameters on the selective removal of paint or aluminium coating, preventing degradation of the polycarbonate (substrate).

These actions took place within the scope of WP 4 - Project #27 "Sensing Home".
